Can you help us to help these cats? During last summer and well into autumn we were inundated with numerous calls from people wanting mother cats and kittens removed from their gardens. Some were feral mothers; others abandoned domestic cats.
A few callers were willing to try to socialize the kittens - early socializing is crucial. Unfortunately these offers were few. We responded to all the calls but due to lack of kitten fosterers we had to put a number of kittens into boarding kennels. Had they been in foster homes these kittens would now be in permanent loving homes.
Staff in the kennels did their best but we are now left with a number of beautiful four to six month old adolescents who are not in any way aggressive but who are not accustomed to humans. We are looking for understanding cat-friendly people, willing to give a permanent home to one or two of these deserving young cats.
